About the Position

Howdens Joinery is seeking an experienced Information Risk Manager to join its Security team at Brackmills Business Park in Northamptonshire. This permanent position involves developing and maintaining an Information Security Management System (ISMS) for ISO27001 certification.

You will be required to work onsite at least 3 days a week and remotely 2 days a week, allowing for a great balance between office and home life.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an ISMS framework to support Cyber Security within Howdens, building on existing work.
  • Raise awareness across the IT function about ISO27001 requirements through regular communication.
  • Embed a risk management approach based on ISO27001 across all IS departments.
  • Contribute to the Head of Cyber Security's development of management review activities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, standards, and guidelines aligned with business, technology, and legal needs.
  • Promote Information Security best practices and ensure compliance with security policy.
  • Campaign for cyber security within the organisation and its associated partners and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Hold an ISO27001 Lead Implementor or Audit qualification.
  • Be certified in a recognised Cyber Security qualification (CISA, CISMP, CISM or equivalent).
  • Have technical Operations Security experience with an interest in governance or have experience in a Security Governance role.
  • Demonstrate problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Possess strong communication skills to influence security best practice across the organisation.
