Senior Technologist, E-Liquids Product Development Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technologist to join our E-Liquids Product Development team at British American Tobacco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating e-liquid formulations, conducting laboratory tests, and planning and prioritizing tasks to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate e-liquid formulations in response to technical challenges defined by management.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests of products in accordance with QC standards.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to meet business needs, using formal project management tools where necessary.
  • Work as part of a team to operate in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, environmental, quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
  • Participate in job safety analysis and maintain good work area housekeeping and follow appropriate PPE.
  • Support the laboratory ISO quality management system and audits.
  • Follow and promote Quality procedures and standards to enable the business to achieve and maintain excellent results.

Requirements

  • Proven practical laboratory experience backed by knowledge of principles of sample preparation for measurement and analysis.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks based on business need.
  • Technical curiosity with problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Strong teammate who collaborates with peers to support critical projects and results with a positive 'can-do' attitude and effective problem solver.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and under pressure, maintaining flexibility.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Structured approach to work, able to prioritize and technical curiosity for product development.
  • University degree (at least BSc) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or associated field.
