Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our pharmacy procurement team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the lead procurement and distribution technicians with the ordering of all pharmaceuticals, ensuring timely and efficient processing of invoices, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Procurement: Review and process system-generated orders with wholesalers/suppliers, liaise with pharmaceutical companies to resolve supply issues, and arrange transport arrangements.
  2. Invoicing: Process invoices for drugs, medical gases, and related sundries, check entries for accuracy, and query with wholesalers and suppliers as necessary.
  3. General: Assist in the provision of financial reporting cover, train staff members, and comply with trust and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics grades A-C
  • NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, numerate, and knowledge of pharmacy contracting
Skills
  • Invoicing/accounting experience
  • Experience using pharmacy computer systems
