Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team operates under a flexible working arrangement, integrating both in-person and remote engagements, with various operational bases.
This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse array of mental health challenges and to enhance your expertise in addressing the needs of young individuals with neurodiverse conditions.
Our multidisciplinary team includes professionals from various backgrounds such as psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, social work, mental health nursing, family therapy, and occupational therapy. The psychology division consists of Clinical Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists, and we also provide training placements for aspiring Clinical Psychologists and Cognitive Behaviour Therapists.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will play a vital role in the psychological services offered within our locality. Your daily tasks will encompass:
- Conducting psychological evaluations.
- Providing psychological consultations to both internal and external CAMHS clinicians and multi-agency services, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Implementing psychological interventions through individual sessions, group programs, and joint parent-young person activities. Opportunities for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Third Wave CBT, DNA-V, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy are available.
- Offering clinical supervision and support to Psychology Trainees.
- Participating in various group interventions, including CBT for OCD and trauma-focused groups.
- Contributing to the duty provision on a rotational basis.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Doctoral-level training in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body.
- Experience in psychological assessment and treatment across diverse care settings.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex information effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Desirable
- Experience in multicultural settings.
- Experience in facilitating group therapy.
