About the Role
Hollyns Health & Wellbeing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Administrator to join our Administration team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our healthcare professionals and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including making appointments, taking details of requested home visits, and informing patients of results.
- Manage telephone duties, including contacting other providers, ambulance bookings, and general enquiries.
- Perform general reception and administration duties, including greeting and directing patients, handing out prescriptions, and initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients and other team members.
- Process patients' change of address computer data and medical records, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Support the administration of pre-dated prescriptions, and deal with pharmacy, medical staff, and outside agencies as required.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team's performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service/administrational role.
- Good face-to-face and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
- Flexibility to cover extra hours as required due to holidays, sickness, etc.
- Ability to deal calmly with difficult situations.
