Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Senior Developer to join our client's Manchester office on a full-time hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and lead the existing development team, providing expertise and support.
  2. Develop, test, and maintain the Case Management System, ensuring its optimal operation.
  3. Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
  4. Participate in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
  5. Analyse and assess existing business systems and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve problems with software products or company software systems.
  7. Design and build bespoke applications and portals leveraging Microsoft PowerApps.
  8. Write and translate software programs and applications according to specifications.
  9. Create programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications.
  10. Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for error correction, area identification for improvement, and debugging purposes.
  11. Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the programming process status.
  12. Extend Case Management processes using T-SQL and .NET technologies by building external functions enhancing the Proclaim system's functionality.
  13. Test and implement hotfixes and upgrades to the Case Management system.
  14. Regularly check procedures to ensure Task Servers operate correctly, clear KPI errors, matter integrity (missing data), and MIWH integrity (missing data).
Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience as a Software Developer, previous experience in managing and leading a team, excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices, prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues, hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans, knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. ITIL Foundation/Intermediate Certification preferred but not essential.
