Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Manage the Purchase Ledger, including accurate coding and posting of purchase invoices, outbound payments, supplier account maintenance, and AP account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the Sales Ledger, ensuring accurate coding and posting of sales invoices, incoming payouts, customer account maintenance, and AR account reconciliations.
  • Process banking transactions, reconcile banks to accounting systems, and communicate underlying transactions.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and posting to financial and banking systems.
  • Review and improve financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial information, including cash flow reporting, financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Participate in financial performance analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Embody the company brand and values, upholding our standards and behaviors.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced IT skills and experience working with high-volume data sets.
  • Proficiency in ecommerce, finance, and payroll software.
  • Accounting qualification or working towards it (desirable but not essential).
