We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our team at RZSS. As a key member of our Property and Estates team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the team, ensuring the site is safe, compliant, and in excellent state of repair.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement the Estates Strategy: Contribute to the development of the Estates Strategy to identify areas for improvement, ensuring the site is safe, compliant, and in excellent state of repair.
- Manage Hard FM Services: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Monitor and control expenditure against the budget, identifying areas for cost savings.
- Manage Relationships with External Contractors: Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contracts and service level agreements. Evaluate and select contractors for maintenance and repair services, negotiating contracts to achieve best value.
- Lead Project Teams: Establish project teams comprising external consultants, client department representatives, and other support group colleagues. Ensure that aims and objectives are delivered within agreed parameters, legislation, and procedures.
- Explore New Sustainable Technologies: Manage the process of carrying out feasibility studies into new sustainable technologies and buildings, exploring options and presenting business cases for approval and implementing solutions.
- Lead Performance Management and Employee Development: Effectively lead and support performance management and employee development within Property and Estates, following good management practice.
- Ensure Stakeholder Needs are Met: Ensure individuals have the skills, systems, and procedures appropriate to their particular operation/service to meet and/or exceed the needs of their stakeholders, including RZSS visitors.
- Educational Qualifications: Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in Construction Management.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme: Site Management Safety Training Scheme (CITB) or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Contract Law and Building Safety Legislation: Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of basic contract law and building-related health and safety legislation/regulations.
- Experience in Construction Project Management: Experience of managing multi-faceted construction projects throughout RIBA stages.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations: Working knowledge and implementation of CDM regulations.
- Proven Track Record in Service Delivery: Proven track record in providing first-class service delivery, including responding to internal and external queries.
- Experience in Sustainable Building Management: Experience of sustainable building management best practices.
- Practical Experience in Construction and Maintenance: Significant practical experience in the construction and maintenance of buildings, fencing, and infrastructure.
- Competitive Salary: Starting salary between £45,719 – £46,862 (offer based on experience) with future salary progression up to £50,959 per annum.
- Annual Leave: 34 days annual leave (pro rata).
