Professional Firefighters and Community Support Staff

Hampshire County Council offers a unique opportunity for individuals to join our fire service as on-call firefighters. As a firefighter, you will respond to emergencies, engage with the community, and work closely with other emergency services.
This role requires a strong sense of duty, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You will receive comprehensive training and have access to state-of-the-art equipment.
In addition to responding to emergencies, you will also be involved in community fire safety initiatives, such as educating children and adults about fire safety and prevention.
We estimate that the annual salary for this role is £30,161 - £35,079, depending on experience. To be considered for this role, you must be able to reach the fire station quickly and safely and live or work within 4 minutes of the station.
