SENDCo Role Overview

A dynamic and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced SEND Coordinator to join their exceptional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the provision for students with special educational needs, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure all children receive the support they need to thrive.

  • The role requires a qualified SENDCo with a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work within the UK are also required

Responsibilities

The successful SENDCo will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the SEN provision throughout the school, ensuring that students with special educational needs receive tailored support and interventions
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective SEN strategies and support plans
  • Leading the SEN team and providing guidance, training, and professional development for staff in relation to SEN best practices
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of SEN students and ensuring compliance with national and school standards

What We Offer

An estimated salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, reflects the school's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive benefits package.
