Position Overview

We invite you to join us as a Technical Support Engineer within the National Response Team, where you will provide exceptional on-site technical assistance to clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs, on-site installations, maintenance, and calibration of customer inspection systems in accordance with established protocols, including delivering on-site training as required.
  • Execute upgrades and refurbishments at client locations.
  • Address customer inquiries on-site with professionalism and fairness.
  • Adapt to diverse work environments and comply with client-specific health and safety standards.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly in line with company procedures.
  • Be available for overtime work when necessary and participate in the on-call standby rotation.
  • Gain knowledge of a wide array of products and continuously improve your product expertise.
  • Provide technical support via phone and email as requested.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills in electrical/electronics - Minimum HNC or equivalent in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience in a field service role with an understanding of customer service practices, including installations, repairs, and maintenance preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware is advantageous.
  • Proficient in PC operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as required.
