About the Role

Safran Landing Systems is a leading provider of aircraft landing and braking systems, and we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Information Systems (IS) team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of engineering and IS projects across the UK and Asia regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for servers, middleware, and databases
  • Work with other IS groups to industrialize proven technology, including building servers, installing applications, and provisioning in the cloud
  • Act as the IS technical resource for related projects, as assigned by IS Management
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation and presentations
  • Build server infrastructure, including creating servers, configuring and maintaining Windows servers, and ensuring compliance with security regulations
  • Install SQL Server and create and maintain databases
  • Provide L2 and L3 support for IS infrastructure, systems, and platforms
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems, and recommend improvements to prevent re-occurrence
  • Contribute to the maintenance and administration of data centre hardware, performing changes, support, and decommissioning of servers as needed
  • Develop scripts to automate repetitive daily administration tasks and resolve incidents and problems

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of various Windows Server Operating systems
  • Experience with monitoring tool solutions
  • Documentation skills, specifically related to IS projects

  • Flexibility, ability to change focus, and adapt to changing corporate priorities
  • Time management skills
  • SQL Server

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundations Certification or similar
  • Skill in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of aerospace business
  • Basic understanding of VMWare, NetApp, and Citrix
  • Basic understanding of various IT/IS disciplines, technologies, and platforms (infrastructure, databases, and mobility)
  • Knowledge of French language is a plus
