Energy and Sustainability Director

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Energy and Sustainability Director to join our team at Eden Brown. As a key member of our Climate Change and Sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our ambitious target of net zero by 2030.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Energy Contract Management: Lead the procurement and contract management of the council's corporate energy contracts, ensuring the best possible value for money while exploring options to improve sustainability.
- Climate Action Plan Delivery: Contribute to the delivery of the council's Climate Action Plan, including the management of a large and complex energy data set, providing consumption and trend analysis, and ensuring a robust bill reconciliation process is in place.
- Renewable Energy Generation: Oversee the expansion of the council's renewable energy generation and district heating portfolio, including managing all relevant liaisons with central Government and appropriate agencies.
- Energy Efficiency and Behavioural Change: Work with businesses, social and private landlords to reduce energy consumption in the borough and influence behavioural change.
- Expert Advice and Data Analysis: Respond to enquiries and supply expert advice and complex data to senior management, councillors, and external agencies, preparing reports and analysing complex data.
- Low Carbon Capital Funding Schemes: Oversee a programme of low carbon capital funding schemes and support colleagues with capital project delivery.
- Team Coordination and Project Management: Coordinate and project manage teams from various Council departments, consultants, and contractors, conducting project appraisals and feasibility studies.
- Equalities and Diversity: Actively promote equalities issues through the application of the council's equalities practices and procedures.
