About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management services. We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Director to manage and support the implementation of energy and sustainability initiatives and strategies within one of our accounts based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Energy and Sustainability Management: Ensure the effective management of energy and sustainability resources to meet client objectives and targets.
  • Opportunity Identification and Implementation: Identify, develop, and implement new energy-related opportunities to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
  • Task Execution and Compliance: Carry out all energy-related tasks to ensure service provision and compliance with global energy and sustainability standards.
  • Team Motivation and Training: Motivate and train people in energy and sustainability across the account to ensure a culture of sustainability.
  • Client Support: Support clients' wider sustainability and corporate social responsibility objectives.
  • Project Support: Support projects' feasibility studies and business cases, including return on investment analysis.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise to clients on energy and sustainability matters.
Specific Responsibilities
  • ESG Strategy Development: Lead the development of a wider ESG, environmental, and circular economy strategy for account operations worldwide, including decarbonization, energy, waste, water, and food waste.
  • Global Energy and Sustainability Standards: Ensure that global energy and sustainability standards are applied throughout the entire account.
  • Cost Savings and Budgeting: Identify and implement cost-saving strategies and budget for utilities within the account.
  • Energy Procurement and Technology Implementation: Coordinate energy procurement and implementation of new technologies with the global energy and sustainability platform.
  • Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Standards: Develop, update, communicate, and implement energy efficiency standards, water efficiency standards, and best-in-class waste and recycling processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training, with a minimum of four years of managerial experience preferred.
