Job Overview
The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist to join their team. This role will involve working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and transitional care at Derriford Hospital, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities
- Management and delivery of care to local and regional neonates on delivery suite, the neonatal unit, and transitional care in a tier 1 capacity.
- Participating in clinical audit of service provision in keeping with key performance indices for neonatal services.
- Development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Involvement in relevant quality improvement programmes.

This is a resident post as part of a 1 in 8 rota (including nights and weekends). The successful candidate will have prior paediatric experience and some neonatal experience. They will be expected to undertake NIPE examinations and complete basic neonatal procedures (cannulation, phlebotomy, airway manoeuvres).

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be compassionate, and able to convey sensitive information to parents. They will form strong relationships with other members of the team and be a supportive and reliable presence to other staff members.

Salary and Benefits
