Job Title: Index Fund Manager

We are seeking an experienced Index Fund Manager to join our successful Index team at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of index funds within a risk-controlled framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of index funds, ensuring adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
  • Act as deputy manager for a further group of index funds.
  • Analyze and implement decisions on index changes and rebalancing of funds, cash flows, and corporate actions.
  • Produce and deliver investment reports on the funds controlled, including tracking error and performance attribution.
  • Work with other Fund Managers to deliver consistency of service and contribute to continuous business process improvement.
  • Support our distribution teams in promoting our index capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Experience in the management of index funds or other rules-based portfolios.
  • Experience of managing funds, ideally gained within an asset manager, but we will also consider individuals from the sell side.
  • Proficient in the use of FX and financial derivatives.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting index methodologies to inform portfolio management decisions.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and corporate events that affect securities within funds being managed.
  • Knowledge of key financial and statistical metrics used in the evaluation of index fund performance.
  • A CFA or IMC qualification.
