Job Title: Index Fund Manager

We are seeking an experienced Index Fund Manager to join our successful Index team at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of index funds within a risk-controlled framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of index funds, ensuring adherence to risk and compliance requirements.
  • Act as deputy manager for a group of index funds, providing support and guidance to the lead manager.
  • Analyze and implement decisions on index changes and rebalancing of funds, cash flows, and corporate actions.
  • Produce and deliver investment reports on the funds under management, including tracking error and performance attribution.
  • Collaborate with other fund managers to deliver consistency of service and contribute to continuous business process improvement.
  • Support the distribution teams in promoting our index capabilities and building competence and experience in client servicing.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing index funds or other rules-based portfolios.
  • Proven track record of managing funds, ideally within an asset manager, but also considering individuals from the sell-side.
  • Proficiency in the use of FX and financial derivatives, such as futures and forwards.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and corporate events that affect securities within funds being managed.
  • Knowledge of key financial and statistical metrics used in the evaluation of index fund performance.
  • CFA or IMC qualification.
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of presentation materials for clients.
