Senior Credit Risk Analyst Lead

MUFG is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Analyst to lead our Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) credit analysis team. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across developed and emerging economies, including Asset Managers/Financial Sponsors and Insurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of NBFI-related credit work and workflow control, including Credit Application and Borrower Rating commitments.
  • New client approvals, including setting credit appetite, limits, and rating, performing due diligence calls/visits, drafting/negotiating credit terms for legal documentation.
  • Structure, negotiate, and document new transactions, including syndicated loans and bilateral loans.
  • Involvement in complex/high-profile credit cases, quickly assessing key credit issues, raising salient points to stakeholders, and evaluating risk-reward trade-offs.
Requirements
  • Experience in assessing NBFI credit cases gained in a banking or asset manager environment, with a strong motivation to lead in a transaction-driven environment.
  • Teamwork: evidence of being a strong team player, collaborating with others within and across teams.
  • Creativity: looks for new ways to improve current processes and develop creative solutions with practical value.
  • Problem solver: thinks ahead, anticipates questions, plans for contingencies, finds alternative solutions, and identifies clear objectives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, establishing credibility and trust with clients, product specialists, and credit executives, and partnering effectively with them. An understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections, as well as market risk and ISDA/CSA documents, is also essential.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
