Academics Ltd SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

Location: Wantage

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd in Wantage. This rewarding role involves supporting children with special educational needs, promoting their physical and emotional development, and working closely with teaching staff to ensure excellent education outcomes.

This challenging yet fulfilling position requires strong de-escalation techniques, effective communication, and a focus on individualized support to meet children's unique needs. If you have a passion for childcare, a Level 2 or 3 qualification, and an Enhanced DBS, we encourage you to apply.

The estimated salary for this role is £43,000 - £61,500 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children with personal care and engaging in activities that promote their development

  • Providing individualized support to meet children's unique needs

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent experience in an EYFS or KS1/KS2 setting
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification at level 2 or above
