About the Role

We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our long-term child protection team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in Child in Need and child protection, with expertise in managing complex cases. Responsibilities include conducting assessments of needs and risks, developing and progressing care plans, initiating and leading reviews and case conferences, and providing detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with children, families, and various agencies to ensure services are tailored to individual needs
  • Undertaking statutory duties, maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, working within budgetary constraints, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations
  • Planning and delivering services, advocating for users and carers, maintaining confidentiality, and promoting equal opportunities
  • Contributing to service improvement by identifying gaps and seeking feedback, ensuring efficient service provision while adhering to organizational policies and strategic goals
Requirements

The successful candidate will be an experienced social worker with a strong track record of working in child protection. They will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. A willingness to be present at the office and in the field as required is essential.
