In this challenging and rewarding role as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to utilise your technical expertise to contribute to the smooth operation of our facility. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, identifying potential issues, and developing effective solutions to support our business objectives.

About the Role

This full-time position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your main objective will be to ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained, repaired, and upgraded as needed. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the engineering team to close out corrective actions, providing Health and Safety guidance to visitors and contractors, and deputising for the Engineering Manager when needed.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  1. Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  2. Identifying potential issues before they become major problems and implementing preventative measures.
  3. Developing effective solutions to support business objectives.
  4. Collaborating with the engineering team to close out corrective actions efficiently.
  5. Providing Health and Safety guidance to visitors and contractors.
  6. Deputising for the Engineering Manager when needed.
  7. Supporting the site engineering teams to maintain high standards.
  8. Participating in routine safety audits and inspections.
  9. Recording downtime and updating the Maintain-X system.
  10. Analysing departmental needs and finding ways to improve them.
  11. Implementing project plans and controlling timelines.
  12. Maintaining detailed records of failures and work carried out.
  13. Reviewing and improving customer service.
