Children's Mental Health Support Role
This position at CV-Library involves working with students aged 8-16 years in a SEMH School based in Harrogate, supporting pupils with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.
The role of a SEMH Support Assistant in this school will be to:
- Provide day-to-day support to pupils in the classroom.
- Offer 1-2-1 support and intervention to multiple pupils.
- Work on holistic development aligned with Educational Health Care Plans.
- Manage and support student behaviour.
Competitive salary (£25,000 - £35,000) per annum, term-time only (13 weeks of holiday per year), making it an attractive option for those seeking a fulfilling career in education and mental health support.
The ideal candidate should have experience in supporting individuals with mental health needs and display challenging behaviour. They should also be comfortable working with a Primary-based curriculum and possess excellent communication skills.
