About the Role
We are seeking a caring and dynamic Imaging Assistant to join our Imaging Team at KIMS Hospital. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will support the Lead Imaging Nurse in delivering excellent patient care across all modalities, including Ultrasound, Mammography, and Cross-Sectional Imaging.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical support within the Imaging Department.
- Assist and support within Ultrasound, ensuring preparation and aftercare of patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist the Radiologist with Ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNA's), ensuring equipment setup, sample collection, and management to pathology for testing.
- Assist the Breast Radiologist in undertaking biopsy & aspiration procedures, ensuring equipment setup, sample collection, and management to pathology for testing.
- Promote independence and encourage patients to undertake tasks within their capabilities, with assistance.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent
- Basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills
