About the Role

Wood PLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. As a Document Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our document management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project documents, ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Coordinate the receipt, review, and distribution of technical project drawings and documents, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle the receipt and return of contractor/third-party documents, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to verify information, answer questions, and resolve issues related to project documentation.
  • Assist in the production of reports as required, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Ensure efficient handling of responses to and from clients, meeting comment deadlines and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Attend project meetings as required, providing updates and insights on document management processes.
  • Provide support and cover to the Document Control Lead, ensuring seamless operation of document management processes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a document controller in a similar industry, preferably in engineering, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar facilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good experience with database systems and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Able to meet deadlines without compromising on quality, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong sense of self-motivation and a willingness to learn and grow.
