Business Process Optimization Expert

Join our UK Risk Management Operations team at Marsh as a Business Process Optimization Expert. Based in the UK, this role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

About the Position

In this critical role, you will be responsible for analysing current business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop and document process maps and flowcharts, and contribute to the design and implementation of the target operating model aligned with the organisation's strategic goals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive analysis of current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Developing and documenting detailed process maps and flowcharts to visualise existing workflows.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their pain points and business needs.
  • Contributing to design and implementation of the target operating model that aligns with the strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback from various colleagues and departments.
  • Evaluating the impact of proposed changes on business operations and recommending solutions to optimise performance.
  • Preparing and presenting visuals, artefacts, reports, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of implemented process improvements.
  • Where required, collecting business requirements for new systems/system upgrades working with IT & business stakeholders.
  • Staying updated with insurance industry trends, best practices in business & process analysis and business modelling.
About You

You should have superb communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate across project/programme teams and with the business to Executive level. A solid understanding of insurance technology to support business strategy in line with the insurance underwriting lifecycle is essential.

Experience of working within an Agile delivery team and familiarity with insurance platform and product development is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills, including documentation of functional and non-functional requirements, are also essential.
