Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Data Coordinator to join our Pathology Services team at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and IT data support to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient records in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

About the Role

This is a Band 3 position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with colleagues, third-party suppliers, and external contacts to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality. Your role will involve generating, interpreting, and acting on data quality reports, as well as handling enquiries and providing routine information orally, in writing, or electronically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inputting and extracting data from various systems associated with the LIMS.
  • Handling telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Providing and receiving routine information to inform work colleagues, clients, or external contacts.
  • Working to Pathology IT protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient data management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent keyboard skills and be familiar with database applications, spreadsheets, and the Microsoft Office package. You should also have experience in all aspects of office administration procedures and be able to use tools and equipment safely and effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for success in this role.

Salary
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
