We are seeking highly motivated undergraduate students to join our Research and Development function in Southampton, UK, as part of our 12-month undergraduate placement scheme. This placement will provide a unique opportunity to work with our Strategic Flavour Innovation Team, focusing on flavour innovations across our product portfolio.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing experiments, conducting lab-based research, and delivering scientific workstreams involving flavour chemistry, neuroscience, sensory science, and analytical chemistry. You will also identify opportunities for novel flavour concepts and assess their fit across our product categories in collaboration with product development teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of scientific principles, good lab practice, and a willingness to learn about taste and smell recognition. You will also need to demonstrate scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a collaborative attitude.
