We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lead Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals in a custodial setting, providing managerial and support to staff members. This role requires a high level of organisational and communication skills, particularly with children and young people, parents' carers, and other key partners.

A Diploma L5 (or equivalent qualification) relevant to working with Children and Young People is essential, along with high levels of literacy and numeracy skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of management experience in social care, criminal justice, or residential settings, working with children and young people with complex needs, challenging behaviour, and/or vulnerable young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing safeguarding processes, including the deputy DSL role within the service
  • Providing a working culture that promotes multi-disciplinary working, solution-focused principles, and strength-based practices
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children and young people

The salary for this position is £63,000pa, plus shift enhancements. Nottinghamshire County Council offers a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and continuous growth within the organisation.
