Marketing Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Marketing Assistant to join our Commercial Services Group team at Kent County Council. As a key member of our Marketing Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the execution of our annual marketing strategy, leveraging both traditional and digital media channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support event promotion and preparation, including The Education People Show, by setting up and taking down equipment and attending events as required.
  • Proofread and upload new website content through our CMS System, covering areas such as blog posts and product pages.
  • Write and proofread internal and external content, including social media posts, blogs, flyers, and emails, and schedule social media posts and monitor social channels.
  • Conduct data mining and generate reports through our CRM system.
  • Manage print and promotional materials, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to specifications, and budget compliance.
  • Create and schedule internal and external email content using DotDigital and Notify.
  • Use templates on Canva or similar software to create social media and marketing graphics when required.
Requirements:
  • A qualification in Marketing, English, or a related field, or at least 6 months of experience in a marketing or events role.
  • Experience using CRM system is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of account-based marketing strategy is desirable.
  • IT literate, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite, social media, and Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Creative with a keen eye for detail.
