About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse to join our well-established team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in reducing the risks of healthcare-associated infections and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of infection prevention and control strategies across the trust.
- Provide clinical advice and support to patients, relatives, and staff on infection prevention and control issues.
- Investigate and resolve healthcare-associated infection incidents, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of infection prevention and control excellence.
- Develop and deliver education and training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in infection prevention and control.

Requirements
- 2 years' post-registration experience in an acute trust setting.
- 1st-level registered nurse/midwife qualification.
- Relevant teaching experience and a diploma-level healthcare qualification.
- Ability to work weekends and rotate between sites.
