Job Overview

Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our Auckland Workshop team. As a Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of modern transport vehicles, construction maintenance & sealing equipment, light vehicles, and small plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and equipment
  • Utilize your previous experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Attend night shift breakdowns across the Auckland region when required
  • Understand and embrace our living safely approach
  • Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public, and yourself
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant job and work instructions
  • Help your team member do their job

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Preferably a Class 4 license and above
  • A mechanical qualification, technical aptitude, and diagnostic ability
  • Previous experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ideally with a background in heavy machinery and contracting equipment
  • Experience driving heavy trucks, construction equipment, and forklifts
  • The ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
  • A positive attitude and a team player
