We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Department Practitioner to join our Anaesthetic team in Main Theatres. Our team is committed to providing exceptional patient care and a supportive environment for our staff.
Main DutiesAs an Operating Department Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing skilled assistance in Anaesthetics, supporting the perioperative team in delivering high-quality patient care. Your duties will include:
- Providing basic theatre skills and theatre processes support
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres
- Supporting the anaesthetic team in the administration of anaesthetics
- Contributing to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A sound knowledge and experience of basic theatre skills and theatre processes
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Flexibility and a commitment to working in a fast-paced environment

- Registration as an Operating Department Practitioner or nurse with a UK-approved anaesthetic qualification
- Membership of a professional body
