About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Project Manager to join our team in the Australian Government Department of Defence. As a key member of our Industrial Delivery Branch, you will play a critical role in leading complex programs and contributing to the establishment of domestic manufacturing of selected guided weapons and explosive ordnance in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply project management skills and experience to lead a diverse range of activities with Industry Partners, Foreign Government agencies, and internal stakeholders in support of the acquisition and sustainment of Defence capability.
  • Contribute to the establishment of domestic manufacturing of selected guided weapons and explosive ordnance in Australia.
  • Work on multiple tasks concurrently across a multi-phased enduring program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Industry Partners, Foreign Government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and communication.

Our team is part of the Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division (GWEODD) and is responsible for the establishment of selected GWEO domestic manufacturing as directed in the National Defence Strategy 2024. We are a diverse team of professionals with various disciplines, including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services.
