Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEMH Specialist Teacher to join our team at the Devon County Council. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with SEMH needs, providing them with the support and guidance they need to thrive.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing personalized curricula for small groups of children, working closely with colleagues to develop innovative strategies for supporting SEMH needs, and utilizing technology to enhance teaching and learning. This is a permanent position available from January 2025, offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs using trauma-informed and relational approaches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
