Job Overview

Merrifield Consultants is seeking a Donor Support Specialist to join our team in West End, London. As a key member of the fundraising department, you will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with supporters, donors, and fundraisers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversight of database activity to ensure robust processes are in place and information is handled efficiently and accurately.
  • Creation of a stewardship process using Raiser's Edge to engage supporters internally and externally with the commercial team.
  • Handling supporter queries and ensuring timely responses.
  • Processing invoices and resolving queries promptly and effectively.
  • Coding and authorizing invoices before passing them to the finance team for payment.
  • Supporting campaign processing with database and finance teams.
  • Preparation of the fundraising batching process and imports to upload supporter information onto Raiser's Edge.
  • Assisting the team in creating RE reporting queries for better analysis of supporter and financial information.
  • Monitoring RE/finance/statutory inbox's and forwarding queries to the correct individual.
  • Creating RE reminders/future actions to maintain department efficiency.
  • Supporting Gift Aid submissions.
  • Preparing data and reports for finance to reconcile donations received with account records.
  • Regular communication with the finance team regarding fundraising income.

Requirements

  • Data Entry experience and basic understanding of financial processes.
  • Experience importing & batching on Raiser's Edge.
  • Experience processing donations for a charity.
  • Able to learn new skills and work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to manage workload often with challenging deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • A high attention to detail with accurate data inputting.
  • Liaising with stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Experienced in handling confidential information with confidentiality maintained at all times.
