Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team at Dimensions. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.

This is a full-time position, with an estimated salary of £12 per hour (£50 per Sleep-In Shift) and a competitive benefits package, including 30 days annual leave pro rata and access to paid training and career development opportunities.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for empowering independence, engaging in activities, providing care, and adapting to the varying needs of those you support. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans and ensure that each individual receives the highest level of care and support.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in creative pursuits, such as gardening, arts and crafts, and sensory sessions, which cater to the interests and preferences of our service users.

  • Empowering Independence: Assist with personal care, stoma care, medication administration (including epilepsy buccal), and daily living activities while respecting each individual's spatial awareness and personal preferences.
  • Engaging in Activities: Plan and participate in outings and activities that cater to their interests, such as drives, arts and crafts, and sensory sessions.
  • Providing Care: Offer 1:1 support, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and encouraged in all aspects of their lives.
  • Flexible & Forward-Thinking: Adapt to the varying needs of those you support, thinking creatively to enhance their day-to-day experiences.
  • Building Strong Relationships: Develop a trusting bond with the individuals and maintain close contact with their families, ensuring open communication and a supportive environment.
