Job Description

This role sits within the Financial Reporting team and is a great opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential reporting to the PRA. A key focus is ensuring accurate and reliable reporting, helping to maintain our strong relationship with the Regulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance Manager and the Head of External Financial Reporting in producing reports, understanding reported information, maintaining quality assurance and control.
  • Drive the implementation of efficiencies and improvements within FINREP, playing an important part in the ongoing financial success of the Finance & Efficiency Community and helping towards the achievement of Nationwide's strategic goals.
  • Deliver to tight regulatory deadlines, following internal controls frameworks and performing quality reviews.
About the Role

This role will suit someone with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, knowledge of accounting and financial reporting activities, who is organised, inquisitive, and has an appetite to challenge and improve existing processes.

Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with experience of statutory reporting.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly with formulae such as vlookup, sumproduct, and sumif, and the ability to work with a large volume of data.
  • Demonstrate an appetite to make improvements.
