Swindon, Swindon, United Kingdom Nationwide Full time

As a key member of Nationwide's Financial Reporting team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and reliable reporting to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, knowledge of accounting and financial reporting activities, and a passion for identifying and implementing improvements in the reporting process.

The ideal candidate will have experience in statutory reporting, be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), and possess strong numerical, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Excel, particularly with formulae like vlookup, sumproduct, and sumif, is also essential.

In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of External Financial Reporting to produce reports, understand reported information, maintain quality assurance, and control. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the reports, helping to maintain Nationwide's strong relationship with the regulators.

You will spend at least two days per week at Nationwide's office in Swindon, working on projects that drive the implementation of efficiencies and improvements within FINREP. This will contribute significantly to the ongoing financial success of the Finance & Efficiency Community and help achieve Nationwide's strategic goals.

Nationwide offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a personal pension, up to 2 days of paid volunteering per year, life assurance worth 8x your salary, and access to a range of benefits through our salary sacrifice scheme.

This role requires a strong focus on delivery to tight regulatory deadlines while following internal controls frameworks and performing quality reviews. As a role model within the team, you will need to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to driving business outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for Nationwide's Customer First behaviours, which prioritize putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together. You will embody the values of pushing for better, being clear and precise, and using language that resonates with our audience.
