Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Verification and Validation Engineer to join our team at Endeavour Recruitment Solutions. As a Verification and Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying and validating real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and execute test cases for safety-critical Actuator subsystem software.
  2. Author and review test specifications, test planning documentation, and other test documents.
  3. Debug complex problems and produce required documentation to achieve the required safety level.
  4. Work with minimal supervision and have a strong attention to detail.
  5. Collaborate with a talented group of experienced software, systems, and electronics engineers on sophisticated software solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Significant previous experience in independent validation and verification of embedded software written in C and developed at a high safety integrity level (SIL4 / DO178C Level A or equivalent).
  2. Test specification creation and compliance recording in DOORS.
  3. Working knowledge of C/C++ for testing special builds and focused code reviews.
  4. Unit testing using LDRA or CPP Unit or an equivalent testing tool.
  5. Understanding of code coverage and techniques/strategies used to cover/justify shortfall.
  6. Working in a lab environment with live equipment conducting system tests.

Desirable Skills:

  1. DO178 Level A testing knowledge.
  2. Knowledge of Defence standards and Micro-controller technologies.
  3. Testing on Development Cards with a test environment or bare-metal with special builds.
  4. LDRA.
  5. FRAMA-C for static semantic analysis.
  6. Knowledge and use of RTC.
  7. Object Code Verification Experience.
  8. Creation and use of Virtual Machines (VMWare).
