Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team in Acocks Green, Birmingham. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to young people aged 8-18 with varying levels of social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of our young people. This will involve engaging them in activities that stimulate their interests, supporting their education, and helping them build positive relationships with their peers and carers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide individualized support to each young person, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and preferences.
  • To participate in planning and implementing daily routines, including mealtimes, homework sessions, and leisure activities.
  • To work collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure seamless communication and effective decision-making.
  • To maintain accurate records of the young people's progress, including their achievements, challenges, and any relevant incidents or concerns.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the complex needs of young people in care. You should also be able to demonstrate empathy, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.

What We Offer:

In return for your dedication and expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £24,500 - £30,000 per annum (based on a 40-hour week), plus benefits including:
