Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,500 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an effective and flexible service for young people in partnership with local authorities and relevant agencies. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting young people to develop their skills, confidence, and self-esteem.
  • Ensuring the young person is prepared for independent living when turning 18.
  • Managing a case load of at least 15-20 young people across various locations and conducting visits to support their needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NVQ (QCF) LEVEL 3 or above in Social and Health Care.
  • 12 months experience of working with vulnerable young people.
  • A Full, clean UK driving license, with at least two years' experience of driving a manual car.
  • Up-to-date DBS clearance, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and report writing skills.
  • The ability to interact with and engage young people effectively.
