Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be supporting a secondary school in Whitehaven, West Cumbria, as they seek an experienced teaching assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and be able to demonstrate resilience and confidence when developing relationships with these pupils.

The role will involve working school hours from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, providing specialist support to maximise pupil development and achievement. This will include working within an agreed system of supervision to support teaching and learning, providing and delivering learning activities for individuals and groups of pupils under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.

To succeed in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to have an enhanced DBS certificate, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks. You will also need to provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
