**Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced Teacher for Vulnerable Learners to join our team in Wandsworth.

In this role, you will work closely with social workers, schools, and foster carers to develop effective strategies to overcome barriers to learning and improve educational outcomes for looked after children and care leavers.

About You

  • You will have Qualified Teacher Status and a degree level 2:2 or above.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable learners, including those with special educational needs and English as a second language.
  • A strong understanding of child development, attachment, trauma, and its impact.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing Personal Education Plans to promote academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Navigating the multi-professional network to identify and address barriers to learning.
  • Collaborating with social workers, schools, and foster carers to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
  • Providing training and support to equip the network with the skills and expertise needed to support our learners.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,192 - £51,127 per annum, plus a range of benefits including 40 days annual leave and a generous pension plan.
