We are recruiting an Autism Care Specialist to join our team in Weymouth, providing tailored support to adults with learning disabilities in their own homes.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities, particularly those living in their own homes.

This position involves working remotely, so the ideal candidate should be local or able to commute within 45 minutes.

Job Duties
  1. Delivering personalized support to adults with a learning disability in their own homes and the local community.
  2. Providing specialist care for a young active female who may be experiencing self-harming behaviors.
  3. Sleep-in duties may be involved, requiring overnight stays at the service user's residence.
  4. A varied schedule including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend shifts.
  5. Assisting with medication administration, although this is limited as the service user manages their own medications.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Significant experience working with adults with learning disabilities and knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
  • Certifications like the Care Certificate, Medication Management, and PBS are mandatory.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and fluency in English are also prerequisites.
