About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a continuous and consistent service to meet the needs of our in-patient units, from 7am - 8pm, seven days a week.

The Facilities Team delivers Porter, Cleaning, Catering, and Linen services within our in-patient units. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising staff and have knowledge of Health & Safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a continuous and consistent service to meet the needs of our in-patient units
  • Organizing rotas to ensure appropriate staff cover is provided
  • Supervising and allocating staff to provide a Facilities function in locality sites
  • Managing food, consumables, and linen stock levels on site
  • Planning and leading the deep clean programme for inpatient ward areas and sites with NHS operating theatres
  • Prioritizing the workload and providing a proactive service to the locality
  • Providing training to staff in all areas of Facilities tasks
  • Supporting the Management team in staff development, performance reviews, and attendance management
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • A British Institute Cleaning Science (BICS) training package
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and professionals at all levels
  • A driving license
