Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of facilities for our estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Management: Oversee and manage all facilities and premises-related issues, ensuring compliance with required standards.
  • Team Management: Manage and provide line management support to the housekeeping team, head chef, head gardener, and night porter, including recruitment, performance appraisals, and attendance.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget in conjunction with the Operations Manager, implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Manage maintenance improvements, negotiate with service providers, and ensure compliance with required standards.
  • Utilities and Supplies: Monitor utility contracts and manage fuel supplies considering occupancy and seasonal requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain robust security measures and health and safety policies in line with current legislation.
  • Training and Development: Organise and oversee health and safety training for all new employees.
  • Event Planning: Support event planning and facilities management requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in managing soft FM, including space management and optimisation.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a small team effectively.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work independently, plan time effectively, and solve problems proactively.
