Children and Families Welfare Advocate Job Description:
This role involves working as part of our Emergency Duty Team in Haringey, delivering essential community care services to children, families, and individuals requiring mental health support.
Compensation Package: Salary up to £50,890 per annum (dependent on experience).
Main Responsibilities:
- Offer emergency support services to those in need, prioritizing children, families, and individuals with mental health concerns.
- Implement evidence-based safeguarding strategies, conducting investigations and taking decisive action when required.
- Evaluate and address the needs of children at risk, providing targeted support and resources.
- Determine the most suitable placements for children, considering statutory orders and individual circumstances.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote mental well-being, responding to urgent situations and participating in performance reviews.
- Document and disseminate information on case progress and follow-up actions, ensuring seamless communication within the team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Social work qualification or equivalent.
- Registration with a relevant health professional council or governing body.

- Capacity to adapt to diverse needs, making reasonable adjustments as necessary.
