Elevation Recruitment Group is pleased to partner with a fast-paced manufacturing business in the search for a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their Procurement Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department in delivering its Strategic Objectives by engaging with stakeholders to ensure early engagement and a teaming approach throughout the Procurement Lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver multiple sourcing strategies, including sourcing activities that generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with the business Purpose and identify internal and external cost drivers.
  • Prepare tender documentation and agree on associated evaluation criteria, and draft and negotiate Supply Chain contract Terms and Conditions.
  • Support the bid process to ensure any sub-contract requirements are understood and underpinned as necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional Sourcing Teams to undertake compliant procurements in accordance with the approved Sourcing Strategy.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure service, quality, cost, security of supply, and the deployment of supplier capabilities in innovation are secured.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • CIPS qualified or degree-level education.
  • Experience in non-repeatable procurement, including various procurement routes and knowledge of exemptions.
  • Extensive experience in drafting and implementing multiple forms of contract.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Able to hold people to account and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Able to manage multiple projects running in parallel through exceptional priority/time management.
  • Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
