About the Role
The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Estates and Facilities Services to lead the delivery of our estates and facilities management strategies. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our estates and facilities plans, ensuring that they align with the Trust's strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective estates and facilities management strategies that support the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Lead and manage a large team of estates and facilities professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure that the Trust's estates and facilities needs are met.
- Manage and maintain the Trust's estates and facilities assets, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement plans to reduce the Trust's carbon footprint and achieve Net Zero.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading estates and facilities services in a large and complex organization.
- Strong strategic and leadership skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and maintain complex budgets and financial plans.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to negotiate and manage contracts and agreements.
