Job Summary:

NHS Fife is seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to lead our Clinical Biochemistry core laboratory team. As a team leader, you will be responsible for driving significant change and consolidating our reception and laboratory services for Blood Sciences in the South Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Manager in developing the key area of the service
  • Rotate through both the Clinical Biochemistry core laboratory and special investigations sections
  • Lead a team of Biomedical Scientists and support their professional development
  • Develop and implement laboratory automation initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation and IBMS approval for Biomedical Scientist training

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with an MSc or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in leading a team and driving change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
